Originally opened in 1994, H’ulh-etun Health Society provides health services to the Halalt, Lyackson, Malahat and Penelakut Tribes. The head office is located in the Halalt traditional territory with additional health units in Malahat and in Penelakut.
H’ulh-etun is governed by a Board of Directors whose members are appointed by the Chief and Council of each member community. The board meets once a month to provide strategic direction to the Executive Director who oversees the operation of H’ulh-etun and the three Health Units.
Community health services offered by H’ulh-etun include Community Health, Preventative programs, Mental Health, Maternal Child Health, Home and Community Care, Environmental Health assessments, Out of Town Patient Transportation.
